Fleet Maintenance Mechanic

　　Non-Exempt: Compensation begins at $41,600 – $52,000 per year, depending on experience

　　What is a Fleet Maintenance Mechanic

　　We are looking for a proactive employee to provide customer service and support to our internal and external customers. Some responsibilities are:

　　Inspect vehicles and equipment for needed repairs; perform minor repairs as required.

　　Lubricate automotive and power-driven equipment with the use of air pressure and lubrication tools.

　　Drain and refill crankcases; inspect and fill gearboxes with lubricants; replace lubricant fittings; maintain lubrication records; maintain lubrication stock and replace as necessary.

　　Repair and maintenance of shuttle buses.

　　Inspect, charge, and replace batteries.

　　Change and repair tires.

　　Make minor mechanical adjustments to automotive equipment.

　　May assist Equipment Mechanic in mechanical overhaul and repair work.

　　Maintain necessary records of time, materials, and parts used.

　　Pack and replace wheel bearings.

　　Repair and overhaul brakes, ignition, electrical, transmission, differentials, and hydraulic systems; inspect, repair, overhaul, and assemble automotive electrical equipment such as generators, distributors, magnetos, and starters.

　　Conditions of Employment

　　Must be able to lift 75 pounds. Have experience providing regular maintenance to vehicles, including oil changes, breaks, exhaust work, and running diagnostics.
