Summary
This role will manage rail and truck fleets assets by ensuring all maintenance, ordering, leasing, and procurement services are met. This role will be responsible for vendor management, including negotiating contracts and vendor performance.
Key Responsibilities
Develops, leads, and improves asset maintenance programs
Responsible for railcar tracking and breakdown intervention
Negotiates contracts with vendors and monitors vendor performance
Manages records maintenance and ensuring accuracy of data elements
Develops reporting tracking and forecasting maintenance costs
Responsible for asset replacement forecasting and budgeting
Responsible for leading and developing a high performing team in current and future business needs
Typical Education
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from 4 year college or university
Relevant Experience
3+ years of related experience and/or training in Management
5+ years of Asset Management experience in related fields is preferred
5+ years of experience in negotiating service contracts preferred
Required Certifications
Other Information
Asset management experience in related fields preferred
Knowledge of supply chain
Experience in negotiating service contracts
Leadership skills necessary to direct people and projects in a team environment
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Exceptional interpersonal, planning, and organization skills
Advance computer and math skills
