Description of Job
This term limited position (through 9/30/2024) is responsible for assisting and supporting the Grants Fiscal Management Unit in the processing, reporting and tracking of ESSER related funding, to include Colorado School District reimbursement payments, reconciliations of ESSER funds. UEI verification for awardees, on a monthly basis. Because the position is fully funded with Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, funding for the position is contingent upon continuation of education emergency relief funds associated with the Coronavirus pandemic.
This entry level role is an excellent opportunity to learn state educational funding and federal funding programs and acquire experience with these programs.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
A. Provide support and partnership with GFMU Data Analyst to process ESSER funding reimbursements, to include data entry, review, processing, approving for payment, reconciliation of ESSER and other fund accounts monthly within the Payment Database and CORE. This would include ITI Tracking, reporting and monitoring for Principal Data Analyst.
B. Create and develop payment batches from reimbursement submissions for analyst review.
C. Monitor payment batches through to accounting to ensure timely processing.
D. Respond to request and payment inquiries from awardees to include technical assistance, training, etc.
E. Collaborate with other offices in the unit, Local Districts and CDE in providing support and technical assistance regarding the reimbursement process of state and federal grants within the Unit. To include assisting school districts and BOCES in coordinating federal, state, and local programs fiscal reporting due to CDE if necessary.
F. Reviewing the payment error tracker to contact Awardee RFF submitters to review, correct and resubmit, if necessary, those reimbursements that error out due to approval authority signature code.
G. Other duties as assigned by the Director or Principal Data Analyst in GFMU
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
T his position is Full-time, Term-limited -Funding is Guaranteed until 9/30/2024, is Remote
A Remote (Home) office is required
SEDENTARY/Office environment:
Required to sit, view a computer screen, and utilize a keyboard and mouse for extended periods of time

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma required.
A 2 or 4 year degree in accounting, finance or business related degree highly desirable.
5 years of basic admin and accounting experience highly preferred.
Experience with high level accounting practices, reconciliations, etc.
Data entry highly desirable, to include a high level of expertise in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Access.
