POSITION SUMMARYPAY TRANSPARENCY/COMPENSATION: $100,000This position is responsible for the overall management of a diverse emergency response organization with over 150 employees and three manned fire stations. Responsible for executing the organization's missions to include: fire suppression, wild land fire mitigation, advanced and basic emergency medical services, hazardous materials response, special technical rescue, incident command and testing/maintenance of life safety fire protection systems.This position is also responsible for the Hanford Fire Marshal's Office and the conduct of fire investigations, issuing permits for work activities and building occupation, building and waste site inspections, fire safety and prevention education, analysis of fire hazards and the application of fire codes and standards for program and project implementation.The successful candidate will direct and manage the activities of the Hanford Fire Department through integration and coordination of the various programs falling under the jurisdiction of the group, including forecasting and preparing for future changes in work scope and responsibility based on the changing mission of the Hanford Site.
