About FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN

Summary You will serve as a FINANCIAL TECHNICIAN in the G-4 (installation and Logistics Department) of MCRD ERR PI SC. Responsibilities You will perform account maintenance and accounting support work requiring a basic understanding of accounting systems, policies, and procedures. You will perform technical work in support of the receipt, disbursement, examination, deposit and custody of cash items which includes handling cash items or use of cash accountability control methods. You will determine pay, payroll records maintenance and completion of reports pertaining to civilian employees of the Federal Government. You will perform work to establish, maintain, correct and close pay accounts for active, reserve, or retired armed forces personnel and their annuitants. You will perform technician work in support of budget analysis and administration such as maintaining ledgers, budget formulation, compiling, consolidating, checking and arranging funding data. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-06) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Performing technical work in support of accounting, budget, and other related financial management work; maintaining the organizations payroll record maintenance, and providing oral and written communication to resolve customer issues.
