This is a Financial Systems Manager position with a company in Ridgeland, MS.
Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to manage the maintenance and administration of systems used to support the financial planning and/or reporting functions within the firm. This role will act as liaison for enhancements and troubleshooting between the finance and accounting functions and the technical team.
Responsibilities: Provide leadership in all areas of Financial Systems Management, including the maintenance, selection, training and on-going support of all financial tools in the organization. Perform system upgrades, tests, and implementation of new features and functionality of ERP/Financial Systems tools. Documentation for financial system processes, procedures and workflows. Provisioning and monitoring user access permissions to ensure appropriate segregation of duties and limited administrative access. Collaborate with Focus Areas and Managing Partners to improve functionality where needed. Maintain data integrity of Financial Systems by analyzing and validating data against industry-standard controls. Demonstrate knowledge of industry best-practices, perform system auditing and testing to ensure compliance with industry regulations. Continuously evaluate the usage and performance of our ERP/Financial Systems tools. Act as the internal point-of-contact for all requests, issues and concerns for our ERP/Financial Systems tools. Self-manage projects with limited supervision. Keeping abreast of the latest ERP upgrades and offerings. Plan for Finance related system projects and business process improvements. Work collaboratively to carry out complex work to manage, support, and integrate other systems with the ERP/Finance software. Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field. 5-7 years of accounting or finance experience; or any combination of education, training or experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Demonstrate organizational, project management and critical thinking skills. An analytical mind with a strategic ability to solve problems. Proficiency in use and evaluation of financial management and HRIS/Payroll software (e.g. NetSuite, UKG). Attention to detail, accuracy, strong follow through and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver within deadlines. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to work with confidential data. Adaptability to the shifting demands of a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.. Work effectively in a team environment. Troubleshooting issues, providing guidance on best practices and implementing fixes and enhancements. Ability to analyze problems, identify the root cause, and propose solutions that align with the organization's goals. Design and development collaboration with core, extended and external teams.
