  JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job ID: 20507 INTRODUCTION: The Financial ServicesDepartment in the Division of Administrative Affairs at the Universityof Wisconsin-Whitewater seeks a Financial Services Client CareSpecialist (Financial Specialist II, FN007). JOB DUTIES: The FinancialServices Client Care Specialist is one of four specialists assigned tothe Student Financial Services Office, which includes the Cashiering andStudent Accounts units. These positions complete tasks as assigned forthe rotation within the units. Assignments could include customercommunications, counter service, daily cashiering duties, loanprocessing, collections, refunding, third party billing, etc. dependingon what is needed at the time of the academic and fiscal year. Theemployee is required to know FERPA guidelines for confidentialinformation, imaging and document storage techniques, appropriate cashhandling processes, State and UW System collection requirements, and UWSystem and campus policies and procedures. This is a University Staffposition which reports to the Associate Bursar and works standardcustomer service hours of 7:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. RESPONSIBILITIES:Customer Service External Organization and Third-Party BillingCollections Student Communications Cashiering Processes Perkins andFederal Loans Miscellaneous Responsibilities Applications received byFebruary 9, 2024 are ensured full consideration. Demonstrated exceptional interpersonal,oral, and written communication skills to work with all levels of staff,students, parents, and general public. Experience with banking, cashhandling, and reconciliations. Keen attention to detail andunderstanding of adequate supporting documentation for transactions.Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles, practices andprocesses, such that would be obtained from years of experience orformal training in accounting. Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.Proficient in the use of computers, including Microsoft Office (Word,Excel) and Adobe. Ability to understand federal regulations; develop andimplement procedures to comply with them.
