Under the leadership of the Director of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), the primary responsibility of the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager - Advanced Alloys is to forge strong business partnerships and provide financial analysis/decision support to the General Manager of the Advanced Alloys business unit (BU) and commercial teams to ensure profitable growth and improve financial performance.
This role is structured as a hybrid position to be based at our Corporate Office in Mayfield Heights, OH
You will have the opportunity to:
Support the Advanced Alloys Commercial Teams to ensure profitable growth through analysis and decision support to drive margin improvement
Develop financial forecasts and annual budget for the entire BU including P&L, balance sheet and cash flow forecasts
Perform sales and gross margin analysis to proactively identify recommendations to enhance margin performance (price increase, cost reduction, mix management)
Work with product marketing, supply chain, & operations teams to help effectively manage manufacturing asset usage & navigate capacity constraints
Develop flexible analysis tools and pro-forma templates to increase speed and accuracy of financial modeling
Be an active business partner in the New Product Development process; partner with Operations Finance to obtain product cost estimates and build financial models to ensure new product launches have accretive margins and strong ROIC
Participate in the preparation and analysis of the long-range plan, monthly S&OP process as well as lead financial modeling to justify capital for capacity expansion
Analyze and bridge forecast to actual results, explain results to leadership team & GMs and help ensure accuracy of month-end close as part of internal controls
Participate in Mergers & Acquisition due diligence to drive inorganic growth
Actively seek to improve and automate systems that support financial analysis and reporting, including Business Intelligence (BI) implementations & ERP improvements to facilitate financial reporting & analysis
Participate in ad-hoc projects and analysis / other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
A minimum of 3 years of analysis/accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
Progressive experience in a commercial FP&A role preferred
Understanding of product costing strongly preferred
Advanced knowledge of Business Intelligence systems, relational databases and front-end querying tools
Advanced knowledge of Excel, Access, and PowerPoint
Experience with SAP is desirable
