  Summary This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. Notice of Result letters will not be sent to applicants who respond to this flyer. Responsibilities You will process financial transactions ensuring validity, accuracy, and timeliness. You will Identify, analyze, and resolve various financial management issues regarding travel authorizations/vouchers, encumbrance documents, commitments, obligations, payments, errors and suspended transactions and reconciliations. You will utilize various accounting systems such as: Standard office applications to include word processing, spreadsheet database and presentation software, STARS-FL, CFMS, DTS, SLDCADA, SABRS, ERP, Wide Area Work Flow. You will produce reports that utilized descriptive statistics to identify characteristics of a data set and assess relationships within data sets for management review and take action as necessary. You will complete month-end, year-end, and quarterly review processes to ensure transactions are accurate, valid and adhering to internal controls. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications This position supports the U.S. Pacific Fleet Headquarters Comptroller Directorate. Primary tasks include the processing of financial transactions, leveraging knowledge of financial regulations, policies, and procedures. Work involves the oversight of financial accounts, and resolution of a range of issues within multiple areas of financial management to include but not limited to encumbrance documents, commitments, obligations, payments, errors and suspended transactions and reconciliations. For the GS-11: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: independently create and modify funding documents, with a general understanding of financial policy, regulation, and law. The position also requires the ability to execute funds in the SABRS environment, and understand how to research and clear errors and unmatched transactions in the general and subsidiary ledger. For the GS-9: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: input data into Microsoft Excel. Proficient at manipulating large data sets into pivot tables and power BI reports. Articulate basic financial theories and demonstrate their application in a business environment. Independently create and modify funding documents, with a general understanding of financial policy, regulation, and law. For the GS-7: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-5 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: input data into Microsoft Excel. Proficient at manipulating large data sets into pivot tables and power BI reports. Articulate basic financial theories and demonstrate their application in a business environment.
