　　About the Team: The ZF Tuscaloosa Finance team supports the Tuscaloosa plant by creating/preparing financial reports, forecasting financial metrics, explaining deviations from said forecasts, and analyzing data to identify areas of potential improvement. Based on these analyses, we work with all functions to implement positive changes and to understand significant deviations.

　　What you can look forward to as an Accountant:

　　Perform general accounting analysis to identify, analyze, and evaluate financial accounting data/accruals in the completion of month-end closing activities and related journal entries and perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation

　　Complete SAP uploads of financial statements and forecast data; evaluate and analyze financial results to identify issues or discrepancies and perform correcting journal entries as necessary and create accounting and costing views for material master data, standard costing runs/calculations, and cost collectors in SAP.

　　Execute accounting activities related to fixed asset capital management, such as capitalization, depreciation, creation of new asset numbers, and continuous improvement tracking; complete periodic analysis and reporting of key asset management data and metrics.

　　Complete self-billing process and payment postings.

　　Investigate discrepancies related to the analysis of customer payments (both current and retro).

　　Calculate and process vendor payments/deductions resulting from retroactive price changes to raw materials.

　　Facilitate AP process and ensure proper documentation is maintained for all payments.

　　Plan cost center budgets with departmental managers and work through staff as appropriate; complete monthly budget variance reports and review regularly with managers.

　　Support chargeback process for customer and supplier charges due to warranty, downtime, or related quality issues; work with quality and sales to ensure the overall accuracy and appropriate approval flow.

　　Prepare monthly financial reports and KPIs to provide summarized analysis to senior management.

　　Analyze and prepare auditors' work papers for the annual audit and assist with annual report preparations.

　　Compile budgetary data and related information to assist with the development of business planning.

　　Perform other duties as assigned.

　　Your Profile as an Accountant:

　　Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related discipline

　　2+ years of experience (including internship/co-op) as a financial analyst, general accountant, or comparable experience in a finance function

　　Familiarity with financial/controlling operations in the durable goods manufacturing industry typically associated with industry experience directly related to accounting, finance, or controlling

　　Working knowledge of ad-hoc financial analysis and the generation of monthly executive-level financial reports (e.g. profitability and forecasts)

　　Working knowledge of external financial standards/regulations IFRS

　　Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP

　　Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

　　Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

　　Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and management
