Your Opportunity
An opportunity exists for a Financial Analyst with strong multi-tasking, interpersonal and organizational skills. As a key member of the Financial Services team and business partner with operations, the Financial Analyst will provide financial expertise in the day-to-day operations of financial reporting adding value to the company. This opportunity is in Edmonton, Alberta.
Your Key Responsibilities
Preparing intercompany reconciliations and identifying variances
Analyzing and coordinating intercompany transfers monthly
Preparing complex journal entries for intercompany balancing and currency conversions under tight deadlines
Investigating and following up on intercompany variances
Communicating with Global entities and providing intercompany guidance
Preparing other balance sheet account reconciliations as needed
Assisting in the 5-day period end close process
Identifying and assisting with the implementation of business processes improvements
Maintaining process documentation
Various duties and projects as assigned.
Qualifications
Your Capabilities and Credentials
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
Effective communication skills, including written and oral English language competency.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple competing priorities and firm deadlines.
Attention to detail.
Proactive
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience
Accounting Diploma or Degree and a minimum of three years' experience working in Accounting and Financial Reporting
Experience with Oracle or other large Enterprise system is preferred.
Working towards an Accounting designation is preferred.
