　　The Opportunity

　　In this role you will independently perform staff level Treasury functions to support various M&E (Machine & Engine) Treasury activities depending on location and business unit. You will provide consulting services to business units/legal entities/business partners to improve Treasury operations. Activities include, but are not limited to cash management, bank management, cash forecasting, foreign exchange and internal funding.

　　Job Duties:

　　This position is responsible for developing Caterpillar’s Enterprise Cash Forecast & actuals analysis and is expected to provide technical expertise and guidance to peers as well as recommendations to management on finance issues.

　　The Finance Specialist's job responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

　　Enterprise cash forecasting

　　Developing technical proficiency in Treasury systems including but not limited to Quantum, TRAX, bank portals, and general ledger systems

　　Participate in or lead strategic process improvement initiatives in Cash Management or Corporate Finance Services including cash management reviews

　　Primary back-up coverage for key Cash Management processes

　　The position manages the completion of its own work assignments and coordinates work with others. The position is challenged to quickly and correctly identify problems, which may not be obvious. The incumbent solves problems by determining the best course of action, within departmental guidelines, from many existing solutions. The incumbent is free to determine the best way to complete job assignments in order to achieve desired results. Work is reviewed after completion, except in the most complex or high impact situations.

　　Basic Requirements:

　　College or university degree is required

　　Typically at least 5 years of job-related experience in Treasury/Finance is required

　　Top Candidate Will Also Have:

　　Knowledge of company policies and procedures, and a general understanding of the company organization, products and customer

　　Good understanding of international finance, the foreign exchange, commodity, and interest rate markets

　　Accounting, investment analysis and auditing skills are also desired

　　Strong data analytics skills and previous experience developing queries to data mine information out of system(s) via Structured Query Language (SQL) programming, Python, and cloud based databases

　　Strong communication skills and good human relations skills to develop a cooperative work relationship with others inside and outside the department

　　Location: Peoria, IL, Dallas, TX, Nashville, TN

　　Domestic relocation is available for those who qualify

　　5% travel is expected
