This an exciting opening to join the Stores Tech Finance (STF) Team to support Amazon's Information Tech. Services (ITS) and Enterprise Engineering (EE) businesses. In this role, the Finance Manager will work across teams to provide financial support for several important cost centers including: 1. Software Development 2. Laptops and Monitors 3. Audio Visual Infrastructure and 4. Network Infrastructure. The Finance Manager will own non-headcount OpEx support across these areas and will work in-step alongside senior leaders to influence Amazon's strategic decision-making in this space. The Finance Manager will also consult on several in-flight and high-profile projects, using the financials to drive robust dialogue around the benefits, risks and trade-offs of different outcomes.Key job responsibilities1. Own financial planning and reporting for Amazon's ITS/EE cost centers (i.e., CapEx and non-headcount OpEx).2. Build new financial models and roadmaps to support high-profile contracts and initiatives.3. Develop financial metrics to help senior leadership gauge the health of the business and understand trade-offs.4. Work with individual business partners to review their financial plans and provide insights + action items to ensure their P&L remains on-track.5. Develop, test and launch a new cost allocation model.A day in the lifeWe're looking for a Finance Manager who is comfortable with senior leaders and can balance the trade-offs between speed and precision. The ideal candidate will work well with incomplete information and can determine the right amount of data needed to drive decision-making. The Finance Manager will be able to pivot between financial planning and reporting to project-based scoping based on the needs of the business. The ideal candidate will be comfortable re-prioritizing based on the unexpected and love working in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment.We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Seattle, WA, USA- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience- BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science)- MBA, or CPA- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results- Ability to manage and achieve effective results in an ambiguous environmentOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $81,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market.
