Job Description
Responsible for performing analyses and reports within the Operational Finance department under direct supervision.
Partner and support Finance & Operations Lead, Business Line Leaders and Corporate.
Prepare Monthly reports to Business Line Directors and other Stakeholders with insight and analysis of the financial performance of the business, highlighting exceptions and key issues. This should include but not be limited to the following:
Gross Margin and EBITA performance.
Gross Service Revenue and Net Service Revenue Trends.
Project Performance.
Utilization, Labour and Headcount variance analysis.
Analysis of Overhead performance to support cost control measures.
Contracted and Awarded Backlog, Wins, Bookings and Book to Burn Ratio.
Business Development Return on Investment.
Operating Cash flow, Working Capital, and DSO Performance.
Preparation of the Annual Operating Plan (Budget) and Monthly Outlooks (Forecasting).
Contribute commentary and analysis to support the monthly Business Review Presentations.
Prepare and maintain a consolidated utilization tracker for the Business and manage monthly forecasts and updates.
Assist with monthly resource supply and demand forecasts and reporting.
Analyse, review and update pipeline files and participate in pipeline monthly reviews.
Assist in preparation of various business reports and presentations.
Support the Project Accounting team.
Assist in maintaining of Business Line Risks & Opportunities register.
Complex organisational structure, with various departments, currencies
Service costing/project costing reporting required.
Ability to interpret results, understand trends and prepare forecasts.
Qualifications
Minimum B-Com qualification in Accounting, Financial management, Cost Accounting
Honours degree in B-Com Accounting, Financial management, Cost Accounting preferred
Completed Articles at audit firm
1-2 Years post articles accounting or Cost accounting experience
CA(SA) of CIMA advantageous, not required
Strong knowledge of Business and Financial performance including, profit and loss, working capital and project accounting.
Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Power BI are essential.
Cognos (TM1) and Oracle experience is preferred but applicants with experience in similar tools and systems will be considered.
Applicants will be able to demonstrate strong organizational and planning skills.
Ability to successfully manage and integrate various data sets.
