Job Description:

Field Technician IV

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Field Technician IV you will help ensure today is safe and tomorrow is smarter. Our work depends on Field Technician IV joining our team to perform a variety of technical tasks and provides site support.

Modifies, moves, and installs a range of new equipment. Troubleshoots a variety of hardware and software problems and interconnectivity issues. Performs a variety of integrity testing and interviews customers to gather information about problems. Prepares and presents a variety of incident / performance reports to the customer and to the service delivery manager. Provides advice and a variety of onsite training for customer support personnel. May coach and review the work of less-experienced professionals. May serve as a team or task leader. (Not a people manager)

HOW A FIELD TECHNICIAN IV WILL MAKE AN IMPACT

Fabricates, installs, maintains, and repairs electronic, mechanical, and/or other types of components and equipment. Travels to various sites to perform repairs and troubleshoot problems. Prepares incident/performance reports and trainings for customers.
