A Field Service Technician (Service Engineer) contributes to the successof Hartwig by keeping our customers' CNC machine tools running at peakoperating levels. The customers we serve are in a variety of industries andrely on the Hartwig team to repair, inspect and troubleshoot theirequipment. Conducting high quality, efficient and timely repair and installation of CNCmachinesRecommending modifications and improvements to machines, equipment andprocessesTraining and instructing customers on service, repair and proper installationUsing software and electrical tools to find damaged work parts and identifyingpermanent solutions to repair computer controlled machines and accessoriesAbility to complete necessary tasks in our service software and timecardsystem on a daily basisTraveling to customer sites, usually within 3 hours from home, withoccasional overnight travelThe Skills
Individuals who ideally fit this role should meet the followingqualifications:
Formal education or training in troubleshooting, repair and installation ofCNC Machines preferred4 years of demonstrated mechanical and electrical experience preferredExperience repairing and servicing CNC machines preferredAbility to work independently, a go getter that finds the next customer thatneeds our helpGood driving record and valid driver's license to ensure fleet vehicleinsurabilityWorking Conditions
