WHAT YOU WILL DOThe position is an almost 100% travel position assisting stores with operations. It includes marketing, sales, and management. An essential part of the position is flexibility. The position will provide an advanced education in management and operations and will provide valuable knowledge learned from multiple store Manager Trainee's.SUMMARYField Operations Mangers travel across all 84 Lumber locations nationwide. Members of the Field Operations team work on a wide variety of special projects. Additionally, they utilize operational knowledge to assist with store inventory, and seamlessly assist in our stores experiencing staffing challenges. Field operations managers travel full-time. Assignment locations are based on current projects and store location needs. Associates travel for two weeks at a time per assigned location. Rarely sits, climb, balance and crawl.This position has a uniform policy that requires that all associates are clean shaven daily.WORK ENVIRONMENTThis position can involve working outdoors or being exposed to wet, humid, extremely hot or extremely cold conditions. May require working in a highly precarious place and near moving mechanical parts. There may be a risk of electrical shock. The position may be exposed to vibrations, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals.Responsibilities
Members of the Field Operations team manage a variety of special projects, using operational knowledge to assist with store inventory and procedures. The ideal candidate will create a seamless transition between staffing when shortages occur.
