Title: Business Systems Analyst - Data Analytics Developer
Job Description
Owns and drives the technical design, development, reporting needs and day-to-day support of the Data Warehouse and associated ETL processes using SAP BW Hana and AWS.
Supports ongoing data quality and data integrity initiatives through audit, balance, and control procedures, alerts and reports, and automated recovery.
Designs, develops, extends, and maintains Data Warehouses and Data Marts. Develops logical and physical data models to represent and organize data efficiently, maintaining integrity and optimizing performance.
Performs rigorous testing of data integrations and transformations to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
Provides expert level application and data analysis for data warehouse and systems integration projects. Assists with data analysts and business users in developing reports, dashboards, and other data-driven tools by providing necessary data and insights.
Works closely with Applications Architect and Project Managers to ensure proper architecture design and compliance with database and development standards.
Implements and deploys phases of business intelligence and systems integration projects.
Partners with Data Governance / Data Management business partners in the development and maintenance of enterprise data architectures.
Develops detailed documentation describing the design, functionality, and maintenance procedures related to the data warehouse.
Regularly monitors and maintains data warehouse systems to ensure optimal performance, implementing updates and modifications as necessary. Performs code and impact analysis and provides patches, design overhauls, functionality enhancements, or fixes for broken codes.
Integrates multiple and complex data sources including transactional and non-transactional, structured and unstructured.
Assists with identifying required data in various source environments identifying data quality gaps.
Collaborates and resourcefully interacts with the offshore team.
Demonstrates regular, reliable, and predictable job attendance.
Attends on-site and in-person meetings and training sessions as required.
The Data Warehouse Developer will be responsible for developing key enterprise Data Warehouse objects, ETL code, dimensional modeling, performing enhancements for new data elements required for reporting. In addition, supporting live scheduled jobs and tickets as submitted by end users. QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, AND TRAINING:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Data Science, Engineering or a STEM related discipline; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with SAP BW Hana
Experience with Tableau and Qlik Sense
Experience with SAP Business Objects
Certification of Data Engineering on AWS optional
SKILLS AND BACKGROUND:
1 -3 years of experience in the Data and Analytics domain, performing Data Engineering on Business Intelligence, Digital and Data Warehouse projects.
1- 3 years of experience in building data warehouse, data lakes, big data, data streaming and ingestion, data retention and archiving, ETL, etc.
1 – 3 years of experience with SAP BW Hana, AWS, Data processing languages SQL and Python, and SAP ECC and S/4 Hana, preferred
1 – 3 years of experience with Tableau and/or Qlik Sense
Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, JavaScript) for automation and data manipulation. (other languages such as PHP, HTML5 are nice to have).
