Through research programs funded by science and technology R&D organizations within the U.S. Department of Defense, the research and development team in FAST Labs collaborate across the enterprise. FAST Labs, the research arm of BAE Systems' Electronic Systems, is seeking a Program Engineering Manager to join the R3 device Materials and Manufacturing (M&M). Ideal candidates are highly motivated with an understanding in microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) and/or semiconductor device fabrication, device physics, multi-physics modeling, and metrology. A background in exploiting the electromagnetic, thermal, mechanical and/or quantum properties of novel materials, and their effects on fundamental device operation is preferred.
Responsibilities:This position will support development of multi-physics-based devices with emphasis on multi-physics modeling, microfabrication process development, metrology and related material studiesThe PEM will work with Principal Investigators to advance overall technical skills and develop R&D expertise in the forefront of Advanced MicroelectronicsEngineering focal point for all activity within the projects including strategic planning, bid and proposal support for engineering content, engineering strategy and integrated plans on programs, engineering staffing, issue reporting, and risk and opportunity managementProvide overall project technical leadership; plan, execute, and manage all engineering efforts within the project. This includes tailoring company processes and procedure to execute research programsPartner and collaborate with program managers, functional engineering managers, subcontractors, customers, and factories to ensure program goals, requirements, and needs are understood and achievedMonitor project plans and execution to ensure technical and work scope requirements, schedule, and budget are well defined and maintainedEffectively communicate with clear, concise messaging to teams and leadershipPlease note that pursuant to a government contract, this specific position requires US citizenship status.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $122870 - $208890
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
