Adecco is assisting a customer in Bloomfield who is recruiting for a Tooling Machinist. The ideal candidate for this position will have machining and tooling experience. A journeyman license or equivalent is required.

Essential Functions
· Assists tool assembly with different variations of tooling setups while observing operational guidelines established for tool assembling area (cleaning, polishing, tooling sign in and sign out and inspection).
· Completes all required documentation in accordance with Work Instructions and company policies ensuring workflow measures are recorded and Drawing Rev control is maintained for all tooling fabricated to support production and special projects.
· Fabricates tips and dies and all other extrusion components for extrusion operations using manual lathes, surface grinder, milling and drilling machines following prints.
· Programs and generates tool path geometry and enters programming into Computer Numeric Control (CNC) to produce two dimensional features.
· Measures fabricated tooling and key dimensions of fabricated jigs, fixtures and specialty equipment components using optical micrometer, Vernier calipers, pin gages, snap gages, hand micrometers and compares measurements to prints to ensure fabrication of quality tooling.
Design and programing
Strong knowledge in machining processes such as turning, milling, drilling, and tapping is required
Ability to read blueprints is a must
Strong knowledge in Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) is needed
Understanding of fixture design is required
Ability to work well under pressure, to handle multiple projects, and to meet deadlines is required
· Cooperate with outside shops to get parts finish
· Keep the workspace orderly
· Participates in end of task / shift clean-up of tool room work areas.
Candidates must have effective communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
Familiarity with and/or the ability to operate Wire EDM, WaterJet, and ProtoTrak machines.
Understanding or comfort with running 3D printing equipment is a plus.
Qualifications and Skills
· High school diploma, technical school diploma or equivalent.
· Machinist Journeyman Certified or related certification
· Ability to read and interpret documents including specifications, drawings, work instructions, safety rules, procedures, manuals, and MSDSs.
· Ability to use optical micrometer, Vernier calipers, pin gages, snap gages, and hand micrometers.
4 years of experience as a programmer in both turning and milling operations
Experience using 2D CAD systems

Pay Details: $32.00 per hour
