Date of Need:: 3/28/2024 to 11/4/2024 Workers will need 1 monthsexperience in all aspects of vegetable production. Duties include, butmay not be limited to, the following. Attach, adjust, drive, operate,and maintain farm implements and tractors. Drive tractors to the fieldto prepare the soil, plant, cultivate, maintain, prune and harvest bothfruits and vegetables. Drive farm trucks and equipment over public roadsto maintain and harvest crops. Wash and pack both fruits and vegetables.Drive and operate fork trucks. Maintain and harvest crops using handsand hand held equipment. Setup irrigation systems and know when toirrigate crops using methods appropriate for the crop and location.Identify crops, pests and weeds to determine the most appropriateselection and application method of pesticides and fertilizers. May mixand apply general use or any restricted use pesticide under the directsupervision of a certified applicator, and apply fertilizers. Up to 5%of time may be devoted to directing and monitoring the work of casualand day help during planting and harvesting. Workers must have, or beable to obtain, a valid driver\'s license.
