POSITION: Facility Maintenance Technician

　　DEPARTMENT: Operations

　　REPORTS TO: Operations Manager

　　FLSA STATUS: Part Time Hourly, Non-Exempt

　　Job Description Under direct supervision of the Operations Manager, the right candidate will be able to assist in the repair and maintenance of all mechanical, electrical, HVAC, plumbing and building systems. He/she will set up electrical power, lighting controls and be available for events. Facility Maintenance Technician will monitor and assist in maintaining all facility equipment in good working condition, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical plants; lighting and climate control systems; roofing systems; telecommunications and maintenance on cleaning equipment. Assist house crew in various duties on show days. Must be available for snow removal.

　　MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

　　Works irregular hours including evenings, weekends and holidays, as needed.

　　Completes tasks in a timely manner with a high regard to quality that is consistent with the needs of the Five Flags center arena and theater

　　Snow removal with both hand tools and motorized equipment

　　Install electrical power for exhibitors, clients and vendors.

　　Adjusts lighting controls for exhibitors, clients and vendors.

　　Performs facility painting, patching and repairs as needed.

　　Use aloft motorized equipment to perform lightweight rigging of banners, lights, etc.

　　Implements corrective actions and solutions.

　　Operates auxiliary supply systems when a breakdown occurs.

　　Assists shutdown and start-ups of utilities when conditions require it.

　　Assists with electrical, plumbing, painting, renovations and general maintenance needs as required with the operations maintenance staff.

　　Assist house crew on show days as needed

　　Follows procedures for use of Work Orders

　　Adheres to OSHA, NFPA and other applicable safety codes.

　　Other duties as assigned.

　　WORKING CONDITONS

　　While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.

　　Performing work through repetitive eye/hand coordination.

　　Daily lifting up to 50 lbs.

　　See and distinguish objects or symbols at 20 feet or more and 20 inches or less. Depth perception, peripheral vision, ability to distinguish color and bringing objects into focus are required.

　　KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

　　High school Diploma

　　Must have a valid vehicle driver’s license and reliable transportation.

　　Excellent organizational skills

　　Ability to prioritize and to handle multiple projects simultaneously

　　Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills required.

　　Ability to interact with all levels of staff including management.

　　Must read, write and fluently communicate with others in English.

　　Familiarity with blueprints a plus.

　　Trade skills, licenses, and certifications are a plus.

　　Present a professional appearance and positive work ethic.

　　Must be able to pass criminal background check.

　　Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
