Facilities Operator This is a part-time position with potential to increase to full time. Salary: £25,000 to £30,000 pa (full time equivalent) The Role
We are looking for a Facilities Operator to join our team to support and assist the Facilities Manager at the National STEM Learning Centre in York. This role is instrumental in ensuring that all colleagues, customers and visitors to the Centre in York experience a positive experience directly attributable to the excellent physical facilities available.
You will be involved in a range of duties and activities including but not limited to:
room set-up for events including the moving of furniture and equipment
cleaning supervision
liaising with internal and external customers, providing excellent customer care
internal and external building checks
minor repairs and maintenance
upkeep of external areas
ensuring coffee machines and water coolers are stocked and in working order
Building Management System checks
early morning review of security report, following up on any incidents
assist with health and safety issues
You will also be accountable for the Centre in the Facility Manager's absence.
As part of the role, there will be a development opportunity to work with the IT Support Team as required; to assist them with: room set up ensuring AV and IT equipment is turned on and ready for use; provide onsite support for courses and participants; assisting the Support Team with 1st Line Support Tickets.

Additional Information This is a part-time position with potential to increase to full time. Due to the nature of the Centre's activities the post holder will occasionally be required to be flexible in working outside normal working hours and be available for occasional weekend working and holiday cover. The role requires the post holder to be on an emergency call out list, responding to building related issues outside normal working hours. About Us
