PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT Serves as the AgronomyOperations intern under the direction of location management, trains andassists with general Agronomy functions to learn the foundation of thesystem and industry prepare for future career. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONSHands-on experience in agronomy field and operations. Assist withfacility and equipment maintenance and repair. Visit FS locations andcustomers building professional relationships. Operate field researchand crop monitoring equipment and technology for scouting. Apply cropnutrition and crop protection products. Gain understanding andexperience with ordering, receiving, and inventory control. OTHER JOBFUNCTIONS Follows GROWMARK\'s Code of Conduct and Corporate ComplianceProgram, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies andprocedures, as they apply. Performs all other duties as assigned.REQUIREMENTS Must be pursuing a degree or certification from a communitycollege, technical college or university and in good academic standingat time the internship begins. Must have ability to obtain a CDL andcommercials applicator\'s license with required endorsements, asatisfactory driving record, and valid medical card. Demonstratesability to work independently. Demonstrates essential abilitiesincluding communication, customer focus, decision making, and skilldevelopment. Must have and maintain a valid driver\'s license andsatisfactory driving record. Must be able to travel independently andovernight when necessary. Frequently required to lift 51-70 pounds asneeded. Frequently exposed and required to work in extreme weatherconditions (heat, cold, wet, etc.), as well as working at variousheights or elevated platforms. Ability and willingness to participate inrequired training that may include education on GROWMARK\'s policies andprocedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements ofthe position.
