About Expediting and Logistics Lead

  Kelly Engineering is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Expediting and Logistics Lead to oversee and manage the expediting and logistics functions within a leading company committed to delivering excellence located in the Houston, Texas area! The ideal candidate will have a solid background in logistics and expediting, particularly in capital projects, EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction), and possess strong leadership and management skills. A bachelor's degree is required for this position.

  Responsibilities:

  1. Expediting Management:

  Develop and implement effective expediting strategies to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment for capital projects.

  Collaborate with project teams to identify potential delays and proactively address them to maintain project timelines.

  Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors to expedite the procurement process.

  2. Logistics Oversight:

  Manage the logistics planning and execution for all projects, ensuring efficient transportation and delivery of goods.

  Coordinate with transportation providers to optimize routes and minimize costs.

  Monitor and track shipments, providing real-time updates to internal stakeholders.

  3. Project Support:

  Work closely with project managers to understand project requirements and align expediting and logistics activities accordingly.Provide leadership in managing logistics and expediting aspects of capital projects.

  4. Team Leadership:

  Lead and mentor a team of expediting and logistics professionals.

  Conduct regular training sessions to enhance team skills and knowledge.

  Foster a collaborative and results-driven team culture.

  Qualifications:

  Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

  Proven experience in expediting and logistics, particularly in capital projects and EPC.

  Strong understanding of supply chain processes and logistics management.

  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  Demonstrated leadership and management capabilities.

  Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  Detail-oriented with a focus on problem-solving.
