Literacy Volunteers of Seneca County (LVSC) seeks a chief administrator who will have primary responsibility for managing the program, implementing its mission, in accordance with Literacy NY practices, and regulations.
ResponsibilitiesRecruit students, process intake paperwork and match with appropriate tutors. Attend meetings and training sessions and collaborate with consortium partners.Attend board meetings and present monthly reports to the Board.Assist the Board's policies, Public Relations, and Fund-Raising committees to carry out their initiatives including grant writing and work with the Treasurer to formulate the annual budget.
QualificationsCommitment to our educational missionExperience, in an appropriate field (e.g. Education, Business Administration, Management, Social Work)Successful experience in an administrative or management position requiring leadership and teamwork skills.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; ethical use of confidential information; integrity; and interest in learning new skills through research and training.Dependable transportation for work-related training, to be reimbursed at the federal rate based on distance from the Waterloo office.Very strong communication and organizational skills required.
Job Type This is a part-time position (18-20 hours) with a salary range of $15 to $25 per hour depending on qualifications and experience. You can design your work schedule with Board Approval.
