Brief description about the position
Applicants with hands-on experience in recombinant protein expression in Mammalian cells. She/he would be able to design and set up new experiments.
With experience in the said field the candidate should be able to help with troubleshooting experiments as and when required. The candidate is desired to work in co-ordination with the group.
What are the key responsibilities of the role?
Study cell behaviour under selection markers to be able to grow and select best expressing stable clones
Handling, maintaining and carrying out cell culture activities
Transfection
Handling instruments and devices regularly used in a Cell Culture Lab like, Biosafety Laminars, CO incubators, Phase-contrast microscope, High-speed centrifuge, Liquid Nitrogen facility, Water-bath, etc.
Carrying out techniques like Microscopy, FACS, in-vitro assays like cytotoxicity assays, proliferation, cytokine release [e.g., ELISA], target cell killing assays)
Develop, design, run and analyse in vitro experiments to understand the effect of drugs in systems
Troubleshoot the obstacles faced while clone development and contribute inputs in overall project
Scale-up expression of the recombinant proteins
Key Skills/Requirements
Master in science with relevant experience of 2 5 years or PhD in relevant field
Experience in handling Animal cell culture, Transient protein expression in mammalian cells, stable cell generation and scaling up expression of the protein in animal cells
