  The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing administrative support for the President, working with minimal supervision to handle details of a highly confidential and critical nature. The Executive Assistant requires in-depth knowledge of company operations, policies, procedures and functions.

  This position supports the President and will be located in Sunnyvale, CA. This position does require domestic and international travel as business needs require. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

  In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  Understand business priorities and provide support to the executive team to ensure operational meetings and interactions run efficiently.

  Complete a variety of administrative tasks for the President including managing an extremely active calendar of appointments; completing expense reports; composing and preparing correspondence that is sometimes confidential; arranging complex and detailed travel plans, itineraries, and agendas; and compiling documents for travel-related meetings.

  Independently prepare expense reports and purchase orders with a solid understanding of the expense reporting, invoicing and purchase order procedures and budget process.

  Provide a bridge for smooth communication between the President's office and internal departments; demonstrate leadership to maintain credibility, trust and support with senior management staff.

  Manage and coordinate all aspects of executive meetings including conference room reservations, teleconference & videoconference set-up, catering, and associated meeting logistics including related social activities for both on-site and off-site events.

  The essential requirements of the job include:

  High School Degree (or equivalent experience) with 8+ years C-suite / President level administrative experience that demonstrates an ability to carry out all responsibilities with exemplary verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, time management and organizational skills while producing high-quality work.

  Excellent computer skills: Outlook (e-mail and calendar management), Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office products.

  Experience in event planning, managing and coordinating all aspects of executive meetings and conferences from inception to completion.

  Demonstrated strong self-starter, pro-active and self-motivated while having the flexibility to build relationships while handling change and solving problems calmly and professionally in a team environment.

  Demonstrate resourcefulness with proven ability to anticipate needs, prioritize responsibilities, manage multiple priorities with tight timelines, and take initiative.

  It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  The salary range for this role is $110,000 -$125,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

  This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
