The primary purpose of this role is to deliver Omni-channel pricing integrity through processes that ensure accurate execution and legal compliance of pricing and promotion changes, the tab pricing process and review, and communication of advertised prices. This includes responsibility for coordinating and enforcing company processes, procedures, standards, and controls relative to all proposed promotional events such as special value, percent off, buy one get one, rebates, barcodes, spend & get, and corporately sponsored consumer sweepstakes as well as for creating and validating promotional signage and labels to communicate offer details at point of sale. This role will be also responsible for accurate execution and coordination of pricing strategy in the end-to-end product lifecycle, including base price, price testing, and end of life. This role will partner with strategy and execution leadership in execution of strategic projects and project management efforts.
What you will do
Partners with strategic leadership and project management to support integration of pricing and promotional strategy into execution as well as project management efforts including risk identification and development of risk mitigation plans.
Assists in execution of unique pricing processes (tab, rebate, barcodes, temporary price reductions, etc.), on behalf of merchandising for their assigned business area
Supports proper daily execution of ad collateral requests (example tabs, signage, TV) by reviewing, approving, and updating ads and proofs to confirm pricing presentations meet corporate promotional and pricing guardrails as well as advertising law
Collaborates with experienced Pricing and Promotion Execution team members, Merchandising, Marketing, Lowes.com, Multi-Channel Testing, Commercialization and other relevant Lowe's business areas to ensure the accurate and timely execution of pricing and promotional strategies
Assists in creation of pricing communication for each print project (i.e. utility, USV, tabs) with list of supporting events for IT Support to track and to ensure file delivery to stores
Communicates with and guides merchants in regards to potential disqualifications and employs innovative tactics to deliver a viable promotional offer that meets all product and pricing data label standards and is consistent across multi-channels
Works with various pricing systems to determine the best method of communication to the store including but not limited to RIM, CMS, etc.
Participates in ongoing efforts of maintenance and enhancement requests and coordinate new releases and training to increase efficiency and pricing accuracy
Acts as point of contact for all store issues via phone call and/or email relative to promotional events, signage, labels, pricing, and systems
Researches and responds to questions regarding issues from Merchandising, Marketing, Pricing & Promotion or stores (i.e. manages connections page to communicate with stores regarding promotional signs and prices questions)
Maintains and manages various promotional databases to enable pricing strategy analysis, pricing execution, access for the field, and communication for promotions on a daily basis
Provides direction to print vendors on the creation, maintenance, execution and communication of prices for advertised collateral through all stages of the print and signage processes
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree Business, Marketing, or related field and 1-2 Years Experience in pricing, merchandising, marketing or finance
5-7 Years Experience in pricing, merchandising, marketing or communications in lieu of degree
1 Year Experience in operational retail processes (e.g., price change implementation, promotional price validation)
Experience working in home improvement retail
Experience using promotional and/or signage tools (e.g., an ad production system, an on demand signage system)
Experience translating pricing and promotional strategy into tactical processes
