  Who we are:

  The Division of Nutritional Sciences (the Division) plays a leading role in national and international nutrition research, teaching, and public engagement. Focal areas for faculty research include precision nutrition, metabolism, lifecycle nutrition, microbiome, and nutrient interactions, food and nutrition systems, health equity, and social and behavioral nutrition.

  What you will do:

  We are seeking a full-time Evidence Methodologist for a one-year appointment with a possibility of renewal depending upon available work, funding availability, and satisfactory job performance.

  Our ideal candidate will have previous experience in conducting systematic reviews and generatingEvidence to Decision (EdT) frameworks. The immediate need is to generate EdT frameworks from several systematic reviews on preventing and treating obesity in children and adolescents to inform the World Health Organization Guideline Development Group on creating related guidelines.

  Key Responsibilities include:

  Generate EdT framework for multiples reviews to inform the World Health Organization Guideline Development Group on creating related guidelines.Design, perform and analyze evidence synthesis projects typically using Cochrane methodology.Conduct nutrition and health scientific evidence review projects including adhering to quality standards, meeting deadlines, and writing reports and publications.

  Purpose:

  The purpose of EdT frameworks is to help groups of people (panels) making healthcare recommendations or decisions move from evidence to decisions. Frameworks can:

  Inform panel members' judgements about the pros and cons of each intervention that are considered.Ensure the important factors that determine a decision (criteria) are considered.Provide a concise summary of the best available research evidence to inform judgements about each criterion.Help structure discussion and identify reasons for disagreements.Make the basis for decisions transparent to guideline users or those affected by a policy decision.

  The framework is easily adaptable for use in making clinical recommendations, coverage-decisions, or health system and public health recommendations and decisions.The EdT framework includes a summary of:

  Required Qualifications:

  Bachelor's Degree and 2-4 years of experience designing, planning, and conducting systematic reviews and evidence to decision frameworks and methods. Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team with a high degree of self-motivation.Demonstrable experience in literature reviews and evidence synthesisProven exceptional reasoning skills and ability to exercise independent judgment.Accuracy, attention to detail, and effective organization, planning, and time management skills.Strong interpersonal skills and communication skills (both written and oral).Ability to solve problems.Adaptable and flexible to changing business needs.Experience with databases and tools employed in medical research (PubMed, Cochrane, Embase) and statistical analysis (R, SAS, and/or STATA).Experience in and/or demonstrated commitment to supporting diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and wellbeing.Passionate about working in an organization that values and promotes diversity, equity, inclusion, anti-racism, and wellbeing.

  Preferred Qualifications:

  The candidate will have a BS or BA with a focus on a health-related discipline, plus a minimum of 1 year's experience or an equivalent combination of experience and education. Strong project management skills and attention to detail are required. Must have strong communication skills and be able to work effectively with broad stakeholder groups.
