The Wood Center caters to many events and special programs held within the wood center. We are looking for a qualified student to assist in event preparations. This will include setting up and testing media equipment, moving and organizing venue materials, lighting preparations, light maintenance and other related duties as assigned.
The Event Services Student Assistant must have the ability to:
Arrange equipment neatly and orderly.
Know or learn to set up and test media equipment.
Perform light maintenance and lift heavy equipment.
Work with power and hand tools.
Work with limited supervision.
Enforce appropriate building policies.
Ability to work part time between M-F 7:30am-5:00pm
A partial Saturday or Sunday shift may be needed but rarely
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds
Minimum Qualifications:
Applicant must be enrolled as a UA student taking a minimum of 6 credits per semester with a minimum GPA of 2.0 or a newly enrolled student.
Position Details:
This position is located on the UAF campus in Fairbanks. This is a Student Assistant 2 position, minimum starting pay is $14.96 per hour.
This is a pooled position, which means that the position remains open over the entire academic year.
