  Job Description Summary

  Are you fascinated by the capital markets and driven to understand the investment side of the business? We sell solutions for Nationwide’s Investment Management Group, including mutual funds and exchange-traded funds, to our institutional customers. If you can put your analytical, technical and customer service skills to work identifying and providing investment solutions to meet opportunities for growth, we want to know more about you!

  As an ETF Specialist you will be responsible for the geographical region. You’ll lead generation efforts which will lead to both prospecting and follow up opportunities. You will be responsible for prioritizing prospects/clients and where appropriate handing off larger opportunities based on the projected overall relationship need.

  Job Description

  Key Responsibilities:  

  Responsible for lead generation and generating ETF leads for Nationwide ETF sales through data analytics.

  Provides territory support to team based on region. 

  Responsible for inbound and outbound ETF Sales and Service calls.

  Follows up to both inbound and outbound sales and services calls and emails.

  Follows up to Webinar invitation and registrations lists.

  Follows up on ongoing ETF Campaigns.

  Accountable for retaining and growing ETF assets across Nationwide ETF lineup.

  Partners with Nationwide Institutional fund distribution team across all channels to complement mutual fund and ETF existing efforts with retail and Institutional buyers.

  Helps establish and grow overall Nationwide ETF Brand and market positioning.

  Uncovers ETF sales opportunities by initiating sales and marketing activities with prospects

  May perform other responsibilities as assigned.

  Reporting Relationships:  Reports to leader and does not have direct reports. 

  Typical Skills and Experiences:  

  Education: Typical: College Degree, Some Financial Services Background, FINRA licensed.  Preferred ETF Experience

  License/Certification/Designation: FINRA Series 7, 63 or 66. CIMA, MBA, CFA or progress towards.

  Experience:  5 years of ETF and/or Financial Services experience. Experience handling inbound and outbound sales and service phone calls. 3 years experience in asset management distribution with broad knowledge of platform and intermediary sales.

  Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:  Knowledge of Intermediary and Platform distribution. Proven ability to manage and execute sales plan to meet ETF activity, sales and lead generation goals. Strong investment acumen and background – knowledge of options and options-based strategies a plus. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Self driven with ability to build and manage key internal and external relationships.

  Other criteria, including leadership skills, competencies and experiences may take precedence. 

  Staffing exceptions to the above must be approved by the hiring manager’s leader and HR Business Partner.
