FTE: 1.000000 Shift: Shift 1 Job Summary: Coordinates thescheduling of complex multidisciplinary care across the network for allestablished patients receiving comprehensive cancer care. In partnershipwith the patient, navigates the health care system includingfacilitating communication among patients, family, patient care team,multiple clinic departments and providers. Triages a large number ofincoming phone calls and multiple scheduling work queues to assurepatients receive coordinated, sequential, timely care. Other duties asassigned. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: None required unless no associatedegree. Experience with complex oncology scheduling systems ispreferred. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Associate Degree is required. In lieuof degree, high school diploma or equivalent and at least two years ofexperience in intake, registration, scheduling or related clerical in amedical setting is required. Completion of a medical terminology courseis preferred. Bachelor\'s Degree is preferred. SPECIAL SKILLSDESCRIPTION: Knowledge of medical terminology. Professionalwritten/verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability toidentify critical issues and exercise independent judgment. Demonstrateddetail orientation with the ability to analyze, problem solve organizeand manage multiple priorities. Excellent follow up skills a must.Proficiency in Word and Excel programs, Microsoft Office systems.Critical thinking skills.
