We are looking for an ESI Modular Integrations Analyst for the Enterprise Solutions Integration Division of the Health Information Office (HIO)!
The Enterprise Solutions Integration Division of HIO exists to manage and enhance computerized claims processing and information management systems in order to assure timely and accurate Medicaid and Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+) claims processing and payments in an environment of rapid policy change. The work section is responsible for researching, verifying and validating the Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) technical functions of the Enterprise Solutions Integrator platform (ESI), the Colorado interChange System, the Pharmacy Benefits Management System and the Business Intelligence Data Management (BIDM) system, which includes working with UAT Tester’s to review user acceptance testing activities or testing system processes in the test environment to determine system functionality.
This position can work fully remotely from anywhere in the State of Colorado.
Please note - equipment provisioning and certain onboarding tasks will take place in person, in our downtown Denver office, on the first day of employment.
Description of Job
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING AS ESI MODULAR INTEGRATION ANALYST:
Staff authority for data integration across CMES systems and processes at HCPF.
Provides direction to leadership on updating integrations between systems and processes to ensure appropriate and effective data transactions for all parties involved.
Researches, verifies, and validates data mapping to support Medicaid Expansion, including Medicaid & Managed Care enrollment and eligibility.
Analyzes and validates data and interface transmission for the Medicaid Enterprise Solution (MES) to ensure system processes are aligned with the Medicaid & CHP+ regulatory and programmatic rules.
Implements system changes mandated by the Federal Register, Centers for Medicare and Medicaid’s (CMS) Regional Informational Letters (RILs), CMS State Medicaid Director Letters, and State legislation through the formulation of gathering Business Requirements, validating User Acceptance Test scenarios and implementing those activities in the Colorado interChange and BIDM systems in collaboration with the fiscal agent and ESI Contractor Vendor.
Communicates system strategies with various policy, program and technical staff, researches the system functions to discover information and expose problems, uses this information to provide advice to policy and program staff on viable system solutions, and to assist with the development of requirements and other technical systems documents.
Develops Business Requirements and other system documentation that assists with performing end user testing of all functions and changes to the systems.

HERE'S WHAT WE NEED YOU TO HAVE:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Seven (7) total years of professional experience in business analysis, systems analysis, data integration or a closely related field
OR
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Information Management,Public Administration, Public Health, Healthcare Administration, or a field of study related to the work assignment AND three (3) years of professional experience in business analysis, systems analysis, data integration, or an occupational field closely related.
Substitutions:
A combination of work experience in the occupational field or specialized subject area of the work assigned to the job, which provided the same kind, amount, and level of knowledge acquired in the required education, may be substituted on a year-for-year basis for the bachelor's degree.
A relevant advanced degree from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the bachelor’s degree and at the agency's discretion, one year of professional experience respectively.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
