HealthFitness has a great opportunity for a full-time Specialized Workstation Evaluator/Exercise Specialist at our client site located in San Ramon, CA. In this position, you will provide workstation evaluations in the office environment to teach and demonstrate proper ergonomic principals related to the setup of the workstation or behaviors of the employee. You will instruct employees in prevention of repetitive stress injuries, document findings, and provide follow-up sessions as necessary to increase participant’s awareness of work habits. You will implement the Repetitive Stress Injury Prevention (RSIP) process for client groups in the San Ramon areas, develop and provide back injury prevention programs, ergonomic training, furniture acquisition through facility management process, and coordinate with office move support. You will also participate in corporate and local ergonomic related teams and committees as needed and provide local coordination of office safety activities.

　　Schedule: Monday-Friday, every other Friday off!

　　Duties & Responsibilities:

　　Workstation Evaluations for both symptomatic and asymptomatic employees and contractors within structured procedures and protocols, which adhere to client's expectations.

　　Providing and following through on all action plan recommendations, including equipment and behavioral recommendations.

　　Participation Tracking and Outcomes Reporting.

　　Employee Education and Coaching to alleviate discomfort associated with work station use.

　　Working knowledge of applied physical activity training.

　　Appropriate Documentation & Management of Information.

　　Development and delivery of back care and other relevant education programs as requested.

　　Participation and engagement with team based in CA and Texas and committees as required.

　　Participation in departmental training sessions.

　　Seasonal health fair attendance and site visits as applicable based on business units needs.

　　Other duties as needed/assigned.

　　Education, Experience & Certifications:

　　Required

　　Bachelor’s degree or Associates in Occupational Health, Industrial Engineering, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Physical or Occupational Therapy or other degree in the health or safety discipline field, or combination of education and experience.

　　CPR/AED and first aid certification from either American Heart Association or American Red Cross required within 30 days of hire.

　　Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills.

　　Ability to work effectively with all levels of individuals both within the client site and HealthFitness

　　Solid understanding of office ergonomic foundation approaches to service.

　　Ability to successfully organize and prioritize work demands.

　　Basic skills in Microsoft office.

　　Reliable and dependable.

　　Demonstrated ability to meet customer needs and shape behaviors through coaching on ergonomics related behaviors.

　　Applicants must meet hiring requirements including but not limited to pre-employment drug test.

　　Preferred

　　1+ years applied ergonomics experience.

　　1-2 year of recent experience in conducting and writing reports for office and/or industrial ergonomic evaluations/consultation and exercise instruction to clients.

　　Ergonomics certification.

　　Health Coaching experience beneficial.
