We are currently seeking individuals for laboring at our soil processing and treatment facility. Duties will include general clean-up, spotting trucks, material picking/sorting and operation of equipment.
Primary Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Inspect equipment carefully before every shift. Check all fluids for proper levels before operating.
Keep equipment clean inside and out.
Perform any necessary routine maintenance on equipment such as lubricating and fueling.
Grease equipment every shift according to the environment.
Blow out air filters between servicing - usually once per shift.
Reporting parts or supplies needed to do repairs.
Follow all Safety Operating Guidelines (SOGs) and environmental regulations
Load, unload, or adjust materials or products on conveyors by hand
Monitor material flow or instruments to ensure optimal processing conditions
Remove clogs, defects, or impurities from machines, conveyors, or other processing equipment using lifts, hoists, or open gates
Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintain them over time
Apply and remove the area specific locks and tags as identified on the equipment specific lock out procedure
Direct traffic movement or warn of hazards, using signs, flags, lanterns, and hand signals
Perform related work and additional duties as requested/assigned by supervisor.
Basic Required Qualifications:
Mechanical ability a plus
Good work ethic, self-motivated
Ability to work independently in a safe and efficient manner and to follow safety policies and procedures.
Solid communication, problem-solving and leadership skills
Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish
Creative thinker with ability to consider “out of the box” solutions
Able to lift 40 pounds on a regular basis
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to deal politely and professionally with coworkers and company visitors.
Ability to follow directions or instructions.
Ability to use a computer to access training portals.
Must be dependable, conscientious, detail-oriented, and have a safety-first attitude.
Experience using basic hand tools and/or power tools to assist with completing repairs.
Willingness and ability to wear company-issued personal protection equipment including eye protection, foot protection, hard hat, etc.
Knowledge of equipment inspections, preventative maintenance, and cleaning standards.
Experience with front end wheel loaders, excavators, screening and material conveying systems, skid steers, or other similar equipment.
