The Epigenomics Application Specialist role we are looking to fulfill offers a very exciting opportunity to apply one’s expertise in molecular biology in an international and highly interactive customer environment.
Mission
The Epigenomics Application Specialistwill focus on supporting the Diagenode Epigenomics business to meet revenue expectations by providing scientific and technical support to our customers, and by identifying new accounts to introduce our technology portfolio
Responsibilities:
Assess the customer’s experimental needs and implement training, experimental designs, and analytical approaches to ensure customer success and communicate results to appropriate internal teams
Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and support
Ability and willingness to travel up to 50% of the time
Assist customers in designing and conducting experiments to effectively utilize our solutions
Conduct scientific presentations to internal and external audiences for pre- and post-sales activities
Provide scientific and applications feedback to R&D and Product Management
Develops accounts by checking customer's buying history, suggest related and new items, explain technical features
Work with digital marketing tools to manage leads from all sources, including events, webinars, website, and marketing automation activities
Generate new sales opportunities through outbound cold calls and emails for targeted proactive campaigns (i.e. application/account specific)
Understand customer needs and requirements, make appropriate recommendations
Route qualified opportunities to the appropriate sales executives for further development and closure
Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
Maintain and expand our database of prospects
Perform effective onsite and online demos
Interact with customers to provide and process information in response to inquiries, concerns, and requests about products and services
Cooperate with technical team and share information across the organization (R&D teams)
Identify sales opportunities through tech support engagement, with the objective of maximizing the customer life cycle value
Keep clients up to date with Diagenode’s solution portfolio, educate customers on new technologies
Managing customer incidents in a professional and efficient manner
Proactively learn new technologies as well as the supported products
Be prepared to visit customers for on-site relationship building, troubleshooting and technical presentations

PhD or Post-Doc in the field of molecular biology
Expertise and/or passion for Chromatin, DNA and RNA studies and NGS technologies

US East Coast, with a preference to any major biotech hub (Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Washington, Research Triangle Park)
