CBS News Colorado is seeking an Executive Producer of Planning with a background in reporting and experience leading teams. This news manager will build on the momentum of CBS Colorados Your Reporter concept which puts an emphasis on community reporting in the Colorado region. The candidate will work with the assignment desk, producers, reporters, and Managing Editor to enhance and grow our storytelling around our established community journalism initiative. The candidate will collaborate with reporters to improve copy, develop storytelling techniques, and develop sources. The candidate will also help drive breaking news coverage on all platforms.

　　Responsibilities:

　　Day-to-day and long-term planning for daily news coverage, specials, and other initiatives

　　Work in conjunction with Managing Editor to delegate tasks to reporters and photojournalists

　　Implement and manage storytelling strategies to ensure brand consistency and build, engage and retain audiences

　　Cultivate a culture of collaboration, innovation and strong news and editorial judgment

　　Preferred qualifications:

　　Strong grasp of the Denver television market as well as an innovative approach to reporting

　　Bachelors Degree in journalism or related field.

　　Hiring Salary Range: $90,000.00 - 95,000.00.

　　The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.This position is bonus eligible.
