Job Specifications:
Expected Pay Range: $23.00 - $27.94 / hour
Shift Availability: Full Time, Year Round
Skill Level: Team Lead
Job Responsibilities:
Train seasonal and year round staff.
Coordinate timely recycling pickups with appropriate staffing.
Maintain relationships with waste haulers to coordinate dumpster hauls and maintenance as well as be primary point of contact for the resort.
Support departments to coordinate proper disposal of waste and auxiliary dumpster deliveries for special projects and events.
Maintain daily organization of recycling staging area including ferrous & non-ferrous metal recycling, wood recycling, and miscellaneous products received from operations.
Coordinates with Base Ops Supervisor and Environmental Manager to ensure Environmental Compliance with local, state and federal agencies. Will oversee receiving, proper storage, and disposal of all universal and hazardous waste from Mountain.
Must demonstrate tactful driving ability and be comfortable maneuvering in tight spaces such as loading docks.
Must be able to operate a forklift after proper training.
Show a commitment to safety: oversee all departmental safety initiatives and hold monthly safety meetings.
Will help drive growth of Environmental Initiatives and raise awareness of Environmental efforts at resort level through employee education.
Must exhibit exceptional guest service to both internal and external guests on a daily basis.
All other tasks as assigned.
Job Requirements:
2-3 years of Waste Coordinator experience- required
Valid driver's license - required.
Able to work outside in all weather conditions - required.
Able to perform manual labor - required.
Strong environmental ethic - required.
Must be able to ski or ride at an intermediate level - required.
Able to work independently and with a team and prioritize workload successfully.
Able to provide exceptional internal and external customer service.
Passion for the environment - preferred.
The expected pay range is $23.00 - $27.94. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
