Job Summary
The Project Environmental Specialist assists projects with execution in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Environmental Protection Agency and Department of the Interior, reinforcing company environmental culture.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
Supports project efforts to be in compliance with Federal, Local, and State environmental regulations.
Travels to work sites and works with project personnel to ensure compliance with environmental policies and regulations.
Reviews contractual obligations and helps create project specific compliance plans.
Identifies areas of weakness and assists with developing an action plan to address.
Plans, develops content, assists with implementation and conducts training at the project level.
Assists in the development, evaluation, and upgrading of environmental programs at the project level.
Conducts environmental inspections; prepares reports and completes required government paperwork.
Supports renewal or acquisition of permits necessary to support operations.
Serves as a resource to company personnel with environmental responsibilities.
Participates and represents the company in client meetings.
Adheres to internal and Quanta standards, policies and procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in environmental science or similar fieldOR
At least 2 years of environmental or project specific experience in lieu of education mentioned above.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering or related fields in combination with mentioned above experience.
Certified Environmental Stormwater Compliance Professional (CESCP) or Certified Stormwater Manager (CSM)
Pre-screen: Upon offer, employees will be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.
