Job Overview:
APTIM Environmental & Infrastructure, LLC is seeking a mid to senior level Environmental Scientist or Environmental Project Manager on a full-time basis for their Wichita or Lenexa, Kansas office to participate in a variety of environmental compliance project management and support tasks, such as hazardous waste and materials management, aboveground storage tank compliance and registrations, spill prevention compliance and management, and stormwater compliance. This position will primarily be in an office environment but may also require travel to client facilities approximately 5% - 10% time to conduct environmental compliance reviews and/or gather related data; this travel would be mostly regional in nature.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
Executing and managing various work scopes, while meeting project schedules and budgets.
Work independently and as part of a project team and be able to adjust to changing conditions.
Work as a project lead to complete regulatory reports and permit applications.
Coordinate and manage activities associated with Environmental Management Systems.
Interface with client personnel at a corporate and facility level.
Communications with regulatory agencies, subcontractors and vendors.
Time management to ensure a quality product is prepared to meet project deadlines.
Applies knowledge and skills to a wide range of standard and nonstandard situations.
Manage the general coordination and preparation of documents, presentations, and general client and regulatory submittals.
Conduct online research of regulations, state databases, and project specific information.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in environmental science, a core science (such as geology, chemistry, physics, or biology), engineering, or related area required.
Related work experience of 5 - 10 years preferred.
Environmental compliance project management experience.
Experience working with Environmental Management Systems (ex. Enablon, Enviance)
Prior experience or training regarding environmental compliance and related federal and state environmental regulations.
Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
Must have strong organizational skills.
Strong computer skills required. Proficiency with Microsoft applications such as MS Excel, MS Word, SharePoint Online, and ability to learn other software applications.
Must be willing to work in the field and travel to complete work.
