　　Job Description

　　As an Environmental Geologist at Olsson, your role is multifaceted, blending extensive knowledge in geology and environmental science to address a variety of complex projects. This position requires adept decision-making in handling environmental complexities, overseeing project management, and guiding staff with a focus on key objectives, critical issues, and innovative concepts.

　　Key Responsibilities include:

　　Leading and conducting in-depth geological and environmental tasks, such as organizing studies, developing theories and models, and analyzing data.

　　Orchestrating interdisciplinary teams, overseeing scientific data review, report generation, and field activities.

　　Conducting soil, soil vapor, and groundwater sampling, as well as soil classification logging at diverse project sites, and operating groundwater remediation systems.

　　Managing projects, composing reports, and coordinating field staff for environmental data collection.

　　Preparing project documentation, ensuring adherence to project scope, schedule, and budget to align with project goals.

　　Collaborating with other Olsson teams and directing team members on scientific endeavors.

　　Liaising with project managers for the execution of environmental tasks, reporting progress, and highlighting potential issues to achieve project aims.

　　Contributing to the development of project scopes and schedules, participating in or leading client meetings.

　　Occasional travel and fieldwork in various terrains and weather conditions, at different stages of construction sites.

　　Managing small to medium-sized environmental investigation and remediation projects.

　　We have one current opening and will consider candidates interested in being located out of our Omaha or Lincoln, NE office locations.

　　Qualifications

　　Bachelor’s degree in geology or related field.

　　6 or more years of related experience.

　　Strong technical writing skills.

　　A willingness to work a flexible schedule which can include travel.

　　Professional Geologist Licensure.

　　40 Hour OSHA Hazwoper training is required.

　　State of Nebraska Water Well Technician license is a plus.
