This individual will provide technical and regulatory compliance support to our industrial and municipal clients. The candidate must be versed in:Interpretation of codes and regulations to assist clients with NPDES permits management.Development of individual and general EPA NPDES discharge permitsCoordination with government agenciesUtilizing water quality-based models to establish pollutant limitations in NPDES PermitsEvaluation, design, and optimization of stormwater and wastewater treatment systemsFamiliarity with stormwater regulations and permitting requirements.This position will also include client development goals and will require limited travel. Candidates may be asked to demonstrate skill proficiency during the interview process.QualificationsHaving a strong desire to improve the environment while working as a client advocate is at the core of what we do. The ideal candidate for this position would be a design minded, environmentally focused individual with the following qualifications:A registered Professional Engineer is preferred, but individuals with their EIT certification or a high level of experience will also be considered.A minimum of a bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, chemical engineering or related field.A minimum of 4-8 years of experience in surface water environmental permitting and engineering.Water quality modeling and design of treatment systems experience a plus.Have the proven ability to solve problems and troubleshoot in a fast-paced, dynamic consulting environment.Project management experience required.Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.Ability to work independently and multi-task regularly in a fast-paced environment with multiple changes; accepting responsibility for critical work products & meeting tight deadlines required.Equal Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with DisabilitiesThe contractor will not discharge or in any other manner discriminate against employees or applicants because they have inquired about, discussed, or disclosed their own pay or the pay of another employee or applicant.
