  About You and this Role:

  In this role, you will support Dow's Hydrocarbons Business as the Environmental Delivery Manager aligned to the Light Hydrocarbon 8 (LHC-8) facility located in Freeport, TX.

  You will lead Environmental compliance and implementation of environmental management systems in one or more fields including environmental, air, and water to maintain the license to operate for one or more facilities. This can also include health & safety (H&S), industrial hygiene, and waste management, as appropriate. This role requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines.

  This position will allow you to strengthen your coaching and influence skills while building on your strong foundation of technical capability and engineering fundamentals. Leadership commits to provide developmental opportunities to prepare the incumbent for a variety of future roles and career paths.

  Responsibilities:

  Leads Environmental compliance, implementation of environmental management systems, and maintains the license to operate for the LHC-8 facility

  Performs periodic reviews of environmental documentation, coordinates data collection, and submits agency reports to ensure consistency and compliance is met.

  Performs data collection and reporting for environmental compliance data including emissions reporting.

  Major contributor to submittal of permit applications for new and modified equipment, requests for permit changes, and submittal of permit renewal applications.

  Acts as Agency Visit and Agency Response protocol owner and implementer.

  Leads the facility implementation for new/revised environmental programs or regulations.

  Leads environmental performance improvement goals of assigned plant(s), site, and business.

  Works closely with Facility Operations personnel to ensure environmental data collection, monitoring, and operating discipline are strong and in compliance with Dow or Regulatory standards.

  Acts as the Plant subject matter expert and trainer for related environmental information on procedures, guidelines and standards.

  Leads or participates in incident investigations and the corrective action process for environmental issues and opportunities.

  Key contributor on facility EH&S team(s).

  Leads or participates in environmental related reviews and projects (facility MOCs). Initiates Environmental Management of Change (EMOC) and completes Environmental Regulatory Assessment Tool (ERAT) evaluation for proposed facility changes.

  Participates in and provides data for Environmental audits, internal and external.

  Provide oversight of facility fugitive monitoring program

  Strong knowledge of EH&S Standards with an emphasis on environmental regulation

  Coaches, trains, and mentors EH&S technicians and other specialists

  Performs site or plant gap assessments around EH&S work process implementation.

  Develops, reviews, monitors, creates, and delivers training as appropriate.

  Supports Dow’s 2025 Sustainability Initiatives and ESG programs.

  Required Qualifications:

  A minimum of a bachelor's degree or relevant military experience at or above a U.S. E6 ranking OR Canadian Petty Officer 2nd Class ranking.

  A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience (i.e. EH&S, manufacturing or related).

  A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.

  Preferred Skills:

  Engineering, Science-related, or other technical degrees

  Familiarity with specific plant regulatory requirements (as applicable) such as Hazardous Organic NESHAP (HON), Miscellaneous Organic NESHAP (MON), Maximum Achievable Control Technology (MACT), Title V Permits, Greenhouse Gas (GHG) reporting, TCFD, LDAR, etc.

  Additional Notes:

  Flexible/hybrid work arrangements are available and may be accommodated within the parameters of Dow’s Design Your Day workplace model.
