Summary: Maintains a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff by providing cleaning services in assigned areas. May transport patients and supplies as needed.

　　Education: High School diploma preferred and ability to follow instructions and procedures necessary.

　　Experience: Preference to individuals with cleaning experience especially in a health care setting. Self-motivated with the initiative to provide the highest quality services.

　　Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements : Ability to stand, sit, walk, reach, and climb stairs and ladders without restriction. Ability to lift between 40-80 pounds using good body mechanics. Able to push and pull small equipment such as trash carts, rotary machines, and vacuums. Exposed to all patient care elements within the hospital setting including medical waste, hazardous waste, and the risk of needle punctures. Meets all safety training requirements associated with the Medical Center.

　　Interrelationships: Excellent interpersonal skills, adaptability and tact creating a favorable image in relationship to the supported department and the Medical Center as a whole. Develops and maintains positive relationships across all areas of responsibility.
