Description

We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for an entry level Staff Accountant in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. This role is with a large organization in the Central PA area and requires 100% on site availability. As a Staff Accountant, you will be involved in various functions such as reconciliations, month-end tasks, and general AP/AR operations.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting regular bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy

• Assisting in the month-end closing process and journal entries

• Managing accounts payable and receivable functions to maintain proper record keeping

• Handling general ledger accounting tasks to aid financial management

• Assisting in the preparation and maintenance of financial reports

• Resolving any discrepancies or irregularities in the accounting records

• Collaborating with the finance team to ensure all financial deadlines are met

• Ensuring compliance with all internal processes and financial regulations

Requirements

• Ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
