ENROLLMENT SPECIALIST
Homes for the Homeless, Inc is seeking an Enrollment Specialist to manage enrollment in our Early Learning programs. This position provides a crucial service in helping our client and community families get access to daycare and Universal Pre-K for their children. The candidate should be organized, adaptable, proactive, and an excellent communicator.

Homes for the Homeless, Inc. (HFH) is a non-profit social services organization operating family shelters throughout NYC that serve as a hub of opportunity for families residing in the shelter and those in the neighboring community. On-site programs range from childcare, early childhood education centers, after-school clubs and programs, and youth recreation activities, such as sports teams, to housing assistance, case management, parenting workshops, career and job vocational training, support groups, and substance abuse assistance, and family engagement and recreation events for the whole family.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Manage eligibility status of children in ACS/DOE-funded daycare programs.
• Engage families in the re-certification process and assist in the completion of application materials as required.
• Manage a waitlist of children/families to maximize the value of services offered to the communities we serve.
• Create, manage and execute a family recruitment plan in conjunction with the Director of Childcare.
• Maintain accurate daily attendance records and associated reporting.
• Assist in classrooms when needed
QUALIFICATIONS
• Associate’s Degree or relevant college credits.
• Familiar with HRA, ACS, DOE, and the WES Programs.
• Familiar with the Pre-Kindergarten Integrated Data System (Pre-KIDS).
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency in maintaining necessary records/paperwork
• Able to provide community resources and referrals as needed.
• Sensitivity and awareness while working with homeless and vulnerable populations.
• Bi-lingual preferred.
