  Responsibilities:

  Work with Professional Staff to perform design, drafting and modeling work for our projects in an efficient and professional manner.

  Assist with design and development of projects.

  Maintain a thorough and professional set of drafting standards for PLI projects.

  Improve, create, and maintain a library of “parts” for drafting efficiency.

  Represent PLI to Clients and Owners, where necessary.

  Maintain Owner/Client, Vendor, Subcontractor and Partner Firm contact databases.

  Build and maintain a library of reference materials as well as an in-house Master Specification and/or PLi Building and Construction Standards, etc.

  Have a working knowledge of civil, commercial, municipal, and industrial construction methods, design elements and construction processes. Foundational knowledge is a must, we will train the right candidate on the specifics.

  Experience with self-performance and hands-on construction is a huge benefit.

  Candidate must have the ability to operate current Survey equipment, including GPS, Robotic Total Stations, Manual Total Stations, optical instruments, Topcon data collectors and the like.

  Candidate will have experience with or ready to learn quickly how to convert digital models to 3D machine control files for our heavy equipment and be able to troubleshoot the technology. PLi will train on our specific systems through our vendors or 3rd

  Candidate should have a working knowledge of 3D digital modeling in AutoCAD for both terrain and structures. Experience with concrete structure and formwork detailing is a big plus.

  Familiarity with civil drawing and detailing is required. Including paving layout and design, private and municipal utility, process piping iso’s and schematics and the like.

  Competitive Salary commensurate with experience and fit for our role.

  PTO (Paid Time Off): This is vacation time, sick time, etc. Available to use at your discretion. 2 weeks per year is our starting point.

  401K plan with a 4% company match on employee’s equal contribution of gross wages. Candidate is eligible at the next semi-annual enrollment date after 6 months of employment. There is no vesting period on the company match portion. We have a local 3rd party that manages the fund for you.

  Hours: Our current office work hours are 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Monday through Thursday and 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Friday. However, projects will dictate actual hours worked. A commitment of 45 to 50 hours per week is expected.

  Health Insurance: PLi contributes 65% of the monthly Health and Dental premiums per month, depending on the deductible level chosen. Monthly employee premium is divided into 2 pay periods. Some waiting periods are mandatory.

  We have a company vision plan with company contribution.

  We offer optional coverage options like cancer, critical illness, cancer, increased short- and long-term disability and other coverages at the employee’s expense.

  Bonus: If the company succeeds then we try and share a portion of that with our employees that help us succeed. It is not guaranteed and is merit based.

  Wage Review: Reviews will be held typically once per year.

  Holidays: We observe all the major Federal Holidays, the day after Thanksgiving and ½ day on Christmas Eve for 7-1/2 paid holidays per year.

  Conditions: Due to the Clients that we work for, and our own desire to maintain a safe and legal workforce, we are required to conduct background checks on all employees and to maintain pre-employment, random and post-incident drug and alcohol testing programs.
