Implement quality control processes. Investigate and troubleshoot instrumentation. Conduct initial and annual eligibility inspections, preparing reports as required by regulation and making recommendations. Input data into National Levee Data Base. Check assigned portions of plans, specifications, and estimates for obvious design and drawing deficiencies, note possible problems requiring engineering decisions. Utilize Computer Aided Design and Drafting (CADD), using MicroStation. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide your semester hours of education beyond two years (total semester hours minus 60) by 60. Add the two percentages. GS-6 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience (1) collecting instrumentation data AND (2) analyzing instrumentation data for trends. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS- 05 or above). GS-7 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience (1) collecting instrumentation data; (2) analyzing instrumentation data for trends; AND (3) identify anomalies. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06 or above). GS-8 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience (1) collecting instrumentation data; (2) analyzing instrumentation data for trends; AND (3) investigate anomalies and recommend remediation. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS- 07 or above). GS-9 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience (1) collecting instrumentation data; (2) analyzing instrumentation data for trends; (3) investigate anomalies and recommend remediation; AND (4) repairing instrumentation equipment.
