As an Engineering Project Manager, you will own and lead the design,development and flawless execution of the launch of new products acrossthe Fellowes Brands portfolio. You will think like a consumer in thedesign of products to ensure we exceed expectations for ease of use,performance and value, and ultimately drive a competitive advantage inthe marketplace. You will collaborate and coordinate cross-functionallywith a number of internal teams to ensure product launches deliver uponbusiness team objectives and strategies.
You will
Own and lead multiple, complex new product development projects frominitiation to closeCollaborate and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensureproducts launch to design requirements, on time, at cost and withhigh qualityCoordinate with external design firms and/or internal R&D in thedevelopment of product conceptsDesigns and executes products that deliver customer satisfaction andloyaltyLeverage diverse resources, including multiple teams overseas, toexecute goals of projects and evaluate resources based on evolvingneeds of the projectsDevelop and maintain detailed product development timelines andmeets target milestonesDevelop comprehensive technical specifications and performanceexpectations for multiple product categoriesPrepare and present data and ideas effectively and in a timelymannerDocument the process and communicate project status effectivelythroughout the organization, including project stage gatepresentations to the CEO and Executive Team membersManage continuous improvement projects that lead to improvedprocesses, documentation or overall improvement in productdevelopment efficiencyTravel 5-10% domestically and possibly internationally, depending onthe projectWhat You Bring to the Team
A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in productdevelopment, to include cross-functional project management experience
Experience with and an understanding of how to design with plastics,metals and/or woods
Working knowledge of consumer product manufacturing is a plus
